Part I: Meet the founder
Hi, I’m Lo (she/they + queer), the founder and artist behind open vessel
I’ve always been a creative soul, which led me to the world of design, but it wasn’t until I discovered chiropractic that I realized how much the two worlds—wellness and creativity—could come together. My connection to chiropractic care runs deep—I’m married to a chiropractor (hi Holly!), have been under care myself for over a decade, and even managed a chiropractic office before founding open vessel. So yeah, I get it—the wins, the challenges, and the heart that goes into serving patients.
Chiropractic care has shaped my life in profound ways, and one pivotal moment shifted everything for me. That experience not only deepened my connection to chiropractic but also transformed how I view my purpose.
Part II: The Journey
I was moving through life, feeling uninspired and out of alignment, when suddenly, BAM!
I sustained a concussion that jolted me into a new reality. My world shrank overnight—I was bedridden, constantly nauseous and dizzy, exhausted, and unable to participate in life. My processing speed slowed so much that I could only listen to Harry Potter audiobooks on half speed, lying in a darkened room. I couldn’t tolerate noise, light, or even walking without bumping into things.
But thankfully, everything changed when I started seeing a functional neurology-based chiropractor. Under her care, I began to heal in ways I didn’t think were possible. I could walk steadily again without colliding into walls. I slowly started reintegrating sound and light into my life. For the first time in months, I could look at a computer screen without feeling sick.
Chiropractic gave me my life back—piece by piece—and allowed me to reconnect with the world in a miraculous new way.
This profound healing experience opened me up, like a vessel, allowing clarity, creativity, and even divine guidance to flow in. It led me to realize my truest calling: to support chiropractors and healers in amplifying the transformative healing they bring to their people.
This journey inspired me to reimagine my company and even rename it to open vessel. open vessel is a conduit for empowering you to channel your gifts through intentional and resonant design, branding, copywriting, and more.
